We select our ingredients daily from a variety of local distributors and growers; providing our customers with the best of the area has to offer in local seafood, meats and vegetables while placing an emphasis on supporting our local community.
Our specialties include homemade pasta, homemade ravioli, bread, focaccia and desserts all made daily using free range eggs.
We also have an extensive wine list.
At the corner of the entrance there is a small display of our delicious vegetable Antipasto, consisting of zucchini scapece, roasted eggplants, asparagus, red beets, white beans and roasted peppers, along with our famous roasted Suckling Pig called “Porchetta”. And of course we cannot forget about our whole “Branzino” fish imported from Italy, roasted with rosemary and garlic and can be de-boned table side of your dish.

Sante Calandri not only brings the true essence of Italy, but also years of experience in the business. Beginning his soon to be career at age thirteen, Sante started working at the famous Il Cochetto in Trevi, Italy. In his early twenties, he worked at Il Pescatore da Alberto in Fumicino, Rome and later at Il Castellaccio in Perugia – central Italy. Sante moved to the United States when he was just twenty-four years old and found work at Taormina Restaurant in Little Italy, NYC where he stayed for three years when he moved on to work at Bice for the next twenty-three years.
In 2010, Sante bought Ports of Italy in Boothbay Harbor, Maine and stepped away from the fast-paced New York lifestyle to pursue his new project.
Now, along with his chef Fabrizio Ventricini, serve authentic Italian dishes – focusing on the simplicity of each dish, while surprising guests with all the bold yet perfectly mixed flavors in every bite.
Sante wants his diners to “feel relaxed like when you come back home from work and smell all the odors that coming out from the kitchen of your mother”.
And that’s exactly what he brings to the table.
